FR:UK funds new community project for 2025/2026 to reduce social isolation
09/09/25
“The Five Days in Between” is an FR:UK funded project to be delivered by Mindful Photography UK CIC ® which aims to reduce social isolation between Christmas and New Year by encouraging daily creative engagement with nature. Through photography prompts and online connection, participants will be supported to feel part of a wider community while developing mindful practices.
This FR:UK supported project is open to all in the North Yorkshire community, with targeted outreach to survivors of domestic abuse and their families, community leaders, prison Governors and unpaid carer charities.
Outcomes will include reduced social isolation, improved wellbeing, and the continuity of support through signposting to Rise to Thrive / Trailblazer and other resources.
FR:UK is proud to support this project which will help those facing mental health challenges and social isolation, particularly at the most difficult time of the year for many participants.
The Project will be overseen by Rebecca Rowan of Mindful Photography and we look forward to the outcomes.
